Luke Behl-Shanks

Excercise Physiologist

Growing up in Jamberoo, Luke’s love of sport and movement started early and never really stopped. That passion led him to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Science & Rehabilitation at the University of Wollongong in 2025, and into his role as an Exercise Physiologist here at PhysioHealth.

Luke has always been the person trying to pack as much sport into the week as possible, from oztag and touch to basketball and soccer. That variety means he genuinely understands what it’s like to live an active lifestyle, manage niggles and injuries, and still be driven to get back to the things you love.

In the clinic, Luke loves helping people stay healthy, strong and independent – whether that means getting back to sport or work, keeping up with kids or grandkids, or managing a chronic condition so everyday life feels easier. The most rewarding part of his job is supporting people to regain the function and independence they need to get back to the activities they enjoy most.

Highlights working PH:

The community here, both clinicians and clients, is unmatched in their positivity and enthusiasm. No where else can make coming to work so much fun.

What do you love about Wollongong?

How close everything is – work, the beach, the footy field, the basketball court, the shops, the train. Everything you need is right there.
